The World Sky Race event should take an expected 120 days, as 10-15 balloons operated by 200 people, from the US, China, Japan, Germany and Switzerland.

According to WAL, the race brings together several regions in the world by visiting temples and cultural symbols in different countries.

Balloons may stop in Hanoi, Hue, Danang, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, where the crews will join local cultural events.

Don R. Hartsell, WAL General Director, will visit Vietnam in August 2006 to discuss further details for the race.
